Hi, after writing for newspapers and magazines for many years I have recently begun the enjoyable but often arduous task of writing novels.

Gone are the days of waiting for rejection letters from publishers. Now that it is possible to print a small number of books at one time, I have chosen to self-publish and am concentrating on building up a following.

My two novels are ‘A Long Time Dead’ and ‘Strands Across the Sea’, both with historical content, based on my Scottish family which came to New Zealand from the island of Mull.
